Nursery Tour!

Designing nurseries became a bit of a hobby during the three year wait for our twins.  When we found out we were having boy/girl twins I was thrown a bit.  I'd planned nurseries for a boy or a girl but never for a boy AND a girl.  I like to think all of my years of planning paid off and I'm so thrilled with how it turned out.

It started with a decision to paint the walls gray and then adding in pink or blue accents for boys/girls.  And then we found out.  I pondered a gray, pink, and blue theme for awhile but wasn't really sold on it.  While spending way to much time goggling nursery ideas I saw a cute multicolored print featuring the song, You Are My Sunshine.  My mom used to sing this song to me and my sister as babies and my gray, white, and sunshine yellow theme was born.

Love the pop of yellow from the mirror, especially since the paint I used to
refinish it had a science-y name!

Loved this cloud mobile from gosh & golly.

I've since moved the canister of Leighton's hair accessories over and put
in the cutest ceramic nightlight.

Art work made by my hubby.  Curtains and pillowcase by my mom.

Children of teachers have lots of books before they're even born. :) Loved this bookshelf.

My mom and I had quite the time trying to install these wall decals with my
giant twin bump getting in the way.

Crib skirts made by my mom and baby blanket by Little Hip Squeaks.
